Save/Save As/Save All are on the File menu. Save writes the currently open outline or chart on the disk where it previously was stored. Save As allows you to name and save a new, unnamed outline file. You can also use Save As to save a previously saved outline file by another name, to another disk for a backup, or in another file format with another name. Save All works similar to the Save and Save As commands, except that Save All saves all the open outline and chart windows as outline files on the disk.
Save As has the following options:
List box Displays the names of all files and folders on the currently selected disk.
Save As box Offers the Home headline (or existing file name if previously saved) as the default file name. You can use any characters in the file name except a colon, a tab, or Return.
File Type Presents a pop-up menu of file types, when you hold down the mouse button. Select an item from the pop-up as you would any menu. MORE will display the selected item in the file type box and save your outline file in the selected format.
Save Saves the outline according to the selected format and file name.
If you want to save two versions of the same outline file on the same disk, you should use Save As to give them different names. If you try to save the outline on a disk with the same name as an existing file, MORE prompts if you want to replace the existing disk file. If you don’t want to replace the existing disk file, click No or press Ret. If you do want to replace the existing file, click Yes.
